Tree Management for Development

Trees should be properly protected from damage to preserve their health and safety. Protecting trees during development reduces long-term costs and provides for a positive response from neighbors.

I.S.A Certified Arborist (PN-1668A)
An Arborist is experienced and trained in the planting, caring for, and maintaining of trees. Seeking a Certified Arborist is an important consideration when maintaining trees since they hold the credential of being trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of Arboriculture.
I.S.A Tree Risk Assessment Qualified
Only a person with suitable training acceptable to many Municipalities and WorkSafeBC can make the assessment and advise on managing the tree hazards. Only an Arborist who has completed the Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ), administered by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), can assess and manage dangerous trees in urban areas and in urban/rural interface areas.
